Maratha is a village in Chopda in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 17 kilometres (11 mi) from sub district headquarter and 85 kilometres (53 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India).[1]


Demography[edit]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 178 houses and a population of 831 of which 444 are males while 387 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 43 people are from Schedule Caste and 652 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
