M. M. Srilekha (born Koduri Srilekha) is an Indian film playback singer and music composer, known for her works predominantly in Telugu cinema.[1][2] She is the only female music director in the Telugu film industry.[3] Her paternal uncle and S. S. Rajamouli's father K. V. Vijayendra Prasad's third directorial venture [[Srivalli (2017 film)}Srivalli]] was her 75th movie.[4]

Personal life and career[edit]

Srilekha is the cousin of music composer M. M. Keeravani and popular director S.S. Rajamouli. She is married to Putta Prasad in the year 2003. She started her career as a playback singer at the age of 12 and was assisting her brother in music direction. She has composed for her first movie Taj Mahal and Dasari Narayana Rao's Naannagaru. She did compose music in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Apart from South Indian films, She has composed for Hindi films like Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Mere Sapnon Ki Raani, Aaghaaz etc.[5]
