JSW Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate, based in Mumbai. It is led by Sajjan Jindal and part of the O.P. Jindal Group.[3] The group is active in sectors such as steel, energy, minerals, ports & infrastructure, and cement, across India, the US, South America, and Africa. JSW Steel, JSW Energy, JSW Ispat Special Products, and JSW Cement are among the subsidiaries of JSW Group.[4]

Earlier, the name was Jindal South West. Later, the company adopted the name of JSW to promote it as a brand. The headquarters of JSW Group is located at JSW Centre in Kalina, Mumbai.[5]

Subsidiaries[edit]

  • JSW Steel is a private sector steel producer. JSW Steel has one of the world's largest single blast furnaces with a capacity of 4.8 MTPA, taking JSW's overall installed capacity to 23 MTPA.[6]
  • JSW Energy has a power generation capacity of 4531 megawatts.[7]
  • JSW Ispat Special Products Limited, is engaged in manufacturing and marketing of pellets, sponge iron, ferro alloys, billets, structural steels and thermo mechanically treated (TMT) bars.
  • JSW Infrastructure Limited, is based in Mumbai.[8] Its primary business interests are in the development of infrastructure for ports, roads, and rail connectivity.[8][9] It has two big high capacity ports named as Dharamtar port and Jaigad Port.
  • Barmer Lignite Mining Company (BLMCL) is a JV between Raj WestPower (RWPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the JSW Group and Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals (RSMML).[10]
  • JSoft Solutions, part of $11 billion JSW Group, is a diligent IT Solution & Service provider for the core sector. With the expertise spanning a range of core sector industries like steel, cement, aluminum, energy, infrastructure (sea/rail/road).
  • JSW One Platforms is a one-stop digital marketplace for all your steel buying needs, It help MSMEs streamline their steel supply and demand
  • JSW Living, part of the promoter group company, has ventured into steel furniture business with the launch of Forma. The business is spearheaded by Tarini Jindal Handa, daughter of Group’s Chairman Sajjan Jindal.[11]
  • JSW Paints was established on 2 May 2019 by JSW Group. The venture was set up with a total investment of 600 crore (US$84 million), with 250 of equity investment and a ₹350 crore debt investment from Axis Bank.[12][13]
